The Client

Our client is an established, distributor and supplier of high end commercial furniture, lighting and interior products. They have a broad range of local and overseas products to showcase and are seeking to employ an experienced commercial BDM to increase sales and brand awareness in Sydney. 

are regarded as a local market leader, and are highly respected with products being utilised across Hospitality, Health, Education and Retail sectors in numerous commercial projects across WA & Australia. 

The Role

In your new role, you will be the only Commercial BDM in Sydney and this will give you the opportunity be the face of the business in NSW and handle major accounts and work with numerous decision makers. Target clients will include Tier 1&2 Architects & Interior Designers, builders, developers and various end users. You will work closely with the local Sydney team and be supported by a dedicated estimator and bid coordinator. You will have some flexibility and autonomy but also will work from a showroom in Paddington, ensuring the continuity of great team culture in NSW. The company head office is interstate and you will have additional support and backing as required. 

Skills Required 

We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate the following skills; 

  • Previous experience in a specification sales role within the commercial furniture / building industry in NSW.
  • Ideally experience selling / specifying high end interior finishes into commercial projects.
  • Established contacts and relationships with local specifiers, builders and end users. 
  • Superb communication, energy, drive, presentation skills and passion for being client facing, closing deals and building relationships. 
  • Strong team player who is able to work autonomously and who is proactive in their sales approach. 
  • Proven track record in sales and business development and desire to build a long term career. 

The Package

The starting base salary is negotiable based on your industry experience – circa $100-120K. The package will include a mileage allowance, tools of trade and a genuine, uncapped commission structure. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive, forward thinking organisation that supplies beautiful, high end interior products.
